Semen Abramovich Kuznets was born on April 30, 1901. He was an outstanding economist, the 1971 Nobel Laureate in Economics, after whom our university is named.
From the autumn of 1918 to 1921 Semyon Koval studied at the Kharkiv Commercial Institute, which was the predecessor of our university.

Semyon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics is a state higher educational institution of the highest, IV level of accreditation, which is subordinated to the Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine.
Today, Kharkiv National Economic University named after Semyon Kuznets is a leading specialized higher education institution in Eastern Ukraine, which provides a full range of educational services, providing multi-level training, retraining and advanced training of specialists in 26 specialties in the following fields of knowledge:
